The breed owes much of its current popularity to the appearance of the Friesian horse Othello in the 1985 film, Ladyhawke, sparking worldwide interest in these horses.
The modern day Friesian horse is as popular today as it has never been used both by harness and saddle. With that kind of versatility that will be around a long time.
